Space Road

It's basically a throwback to those classic space trading games we all loved

In Space Road you pilot a small spacecraft through a randomly generated galaxy filled with trade routes, pirates, and distant systems.

In Space Road you pilot a small spacecraft through a randomly generated galaxy filled with trade routes, pirates, and distant systems.

Each time you jump to a new system, you never know what you're gonna find - could be a goldmine, could be pirates waiting to blast you.

  • Some systems are peaceful trading hubs.

  • Others are controlled by pirates.

  • Choose your routes carefully.

Navigating the Galaxy

Travel Between Star Systems

Before jumping into another system, your ship must first exit the current star system. Once outside the system, open the galaxy map and select a destination within your ship’s jump radius.

Some systems are safe.

Some contain pirates.

Others may already be under alien attack.

Trust me, you'll want to think twice before jumping into unknown territory.

FAQ

  • Is the galaxy the same every game?

No. The galaxy is generated randomly when the game begins, creating different trading routes and dangers each time.

  • What is the safest way to start the game?

Early on it is recommended to focus on trading between nearby systems while avoiding high pirate zones.

  • Why does cargo slow the ship?

Each good has weight. Heavy cargo such as platinum or uranium increases ship mass and reduces speed.

  • Can equipment be upgraded?

Yes. Equipment can have several improvement levels:
    M – upgraded once
    R – twice
    L – three times
    X – four times.

  • Is combat required to finish the game?

Eventually yes. Clearing alien sectors requires powerful ships and strong equipment.

Ship Equipment and Upgrades

Shipyard and Equipment

All ship equipment is purchased at the space shipyard. Ships contain four equipment slot sizes

I
II
III
IV

Each next slot is twice as powerful and heavy as the previous one.

To install equipment:

  • Select a ship slot

  • Choose equipment from the shipyard market

Trading Across Spaceports

The galaxy map shows which goods are bought and sold in each system, along with pirate strength. Sure, hauling uranium and platinum pays well, but your ship's gonna crawl like a snail with that stuff weighing you down.

Because of this, heavy cargo should usually be transported only between nearby systems or with upgraded ships.

Ship Characteristics

Ship Systems and Statistics

Every ship has several important characteristics:

CoinSP The health of the ship.
CargoRepair The repair rate of the ship per second.
DiamondWeapon Slots Number of weapon modules
DiamondSupport Slots Slots for auxiliary equipment.
DiamondSpeed Maximum movement speed.
DiamondDPS Total damage
DiamondMove Energy Energy consumed during movement.
Diamond
Max Energy
Total energy used by all systems.
DiamondGen Energy Energy produced by the NR
DiamondAccum Battery capacity.

If your reactor cannot produce enough energy, the battery will drain and critical systems like weapons or repairs may shut down.
